Studies have shown that some of the most successful people in life experienced some form of trauma in their childhood. While this evidence doesn’t prove that everyone should have a traumatic childhood, it does show that for some people, trauma serves as a catalyst for achievement.

In this post, I talk about the “no work, no pay” mentality that I saw infecting the comments section. Here’s the basic message: you’re not going to reach your financial goals until you embrace the concept of investing your money for 24/7 income.

Debt is the lifeblood of real estate investing. It’s an uncomfortable truth, but it also explains why real estate investing is tough right now. The high lending rates set by the Federal Reserve makes it much more expensive to buy real estate with a mortgage right now.

The overall concept of using debt to invest is anathema to a lot of personal finance gurus, though. In this post below, Dr. Frey discusses the pros and cons of using debt, including a discussion about risk tolerance and the effect of leverage on returns.
