In this post, Ian Cook reviews the changes in bonus depreciation coming our way this year (2023). Unfortunately for real estate investors, 100% bonus depreciation is now a thing of the past. Properties purchased in 2023 can only claim 80% bonus depreciation on their cost segregated real estate. This doesn’t mean it’s not a good strategy, but it’s just not as impactful as before.
