The Prudent Plastic Surgeon

In this post, Jordan Frey, MD delves into some profound keys to success. Inspired by James Clear’s book “Atomic Habits,” he highlights the plateau of latent potential. After you start making changes in your life or finances, this plateau is the frustrating pause before you start to see exponential gains. During this time period, most of your gains are in the background, almost invisibly compounding and gaining potential energy. Since the progress is mostly invisible, this is where many people lose motivation and stop. While in this frustrating period, we are often wallowing in the depths of the “valley of disappointment.”

But as Dr. Frey shows, it’s only a matter of time before progress beyond the valley and start seeing your exponential gains. To get beyond the plateau, he gives us some great tips, including automation and systems.
