The Darwinian Doctor

This week on the blog, I made the case for apartment buildings as a great recession resistant real estate asset class. In this post, I really dove into the details on how apartment buildings are valued and how this comes into play in times of recession.

I outlined 4 reasons in particular why I like apartment buildings in this economic climate:

  3. They offer economy of scale
  4. Apartment buildings are expensive, so everyone can “get a piece”

The Prudent Plastic Surgeon

Jordan Frey, MD, continues to build his own real estate empire, one duplex at a time. He’s up to five rental properties now and breaks down his most recent acquisition for us. Jordan has really tapped into a combination of great rent to value ratios and self management to yield impressive projected returns despite the marked rise in interest rates recently.

The Darwinian Doctor’s YouTube Channel

I’ve started sharing my video content on YouTube and am on a slow crawl to 100 subscribers there so I can get a bespoke web link. Until then, I’ll have to be content with just a random number link. Help me out by subscribing to the channel!

As I collect longer form content like podcast interviews, I’ll share them exclusively on the YouTube channel.

Here are just a couple of the posts from the channel this week!

Here, I talk about the difference between gross annual income and net annual income.
Here I talk about preserving the quality of your relationships, even when you’re hustling.
