This article nicely points out that the experience of graduating medical still opens up a lot of doors, even if they aren’t in the clinical setting. From consulting to research to medical writing, unmatched medical school graduates still have many options. It’s still probably a safer career path to continue to find a residency spot, but it’s comforting to know that there are alternative options out there!
