In this post, I reflected on the amazing fact that I am still married to my wife, and that she didn’t leave me during residency training. Because as hard as residency training is for doctors, it’s arguable just as hard for the partners and spouses of doctors too! They’re the ones that deal with the absent partner who comes home from the hospital, physically and emotionally drained. Because they stick with their partners, I think that they’re saints!
