Carpe Diem MD

In this heartfelt post, Ian Cook talks about blogging burnout. Specifically, he talks about the PhREI Network conference, the day job of medicine, and the extra jobs of real estate investing and blogging.

While reading his post, a lot of what he wrote resonated with me. As I’ve been bringing the luxury cabin in Broken Bow online, the time I was committing to blogging and my TikTok page has really taken a hit.

The Darwinian Doctor

This past week, I published yet another fairly odd side gig idea: sperm donation. Perhaps I’m taking the urologic theme a little too far? The Prudent Plastic Surgeon

In this post, Jordan Frey presents an interesting way of calculating your journey to FIRE. His proprietary formula takes the expression “time is money” literally. Jordan’s formula weighs your past, present, and future differently, and I’m in complete agreement that your present is the most important.
