Carpe Diem MD

In this excellent post, Ian Cook described the “Carpe Diem” lifestyle. As a preview, it doesn’t include working 80 hours a week. It is all about maximizing the balance between income, family, and experiencing the joy of the present. He tells us how his family has devoted themselves to this philosophy over the past few years and gives us tips on how we can do the same.

The Darwinian Doctor

This past week was all about bringing my Palm Springs short term rental to the finish line. The last leg of the journey is often the hardest, and between a trip out to the house on Sunday and late nights polishing our listing, this was certainly true. I’d love to say that all the hard work was worth it, but that remains to be seen.

The Prudent Plastic Surgeon

Last but not least, Jordan Frey gives us a much needed primer in doctor insurance. This is different from health insurance, which we all need. Doctor insurance includes all the types of insurance that are necessary to survive as a doctor in our society. I’m talking about disability insurance, malpractice insurance, and term life. Do you know what all these are? You can find out below.
