Carpe Diem MD
Everyone loves hero origin stories, and Ian Cook gives us more of his in this post. He talks about how he and his wife came to embody the “Carpe Diem” lifestyle that prioritizes the importance of valuing the day to day, as well as keeping an eye towards long term goals. Out of all of my colleagues, I think he and his wife have succeeded in finding that perfect balance of work and play. It’s an enviable lifestyle!

The Darwinian Doctor
This past week, I was playing catch up after a pretty nasty bout of Covid. But I got it together and put together another installment of Anno Darwinii, my quarterly report on my real estate empire. This update was chock full of happenings, including a sewer line backup from hell and a sneak peak of our finished short term rental in Palm Springs. And oh yes — our monthly gross income hit $50k!

The Prudent Plastic Surgeon
I find that it’s always interesting to know about the backstory behind people that I admire. Who were they before they reached dizzying heights of success and fame? Did they have the same insecurities and fears like the rest of us?
In another hero origin story, Jordan Frey opens the kimono and tells us who he was before he became the personal finance guru that he is today. We see eye to eye on most money related topics, so it’s not surprising that we shared many of the same unhealthy money beliefs as well, like the scarcity mindset.

Hi Daniel, big fan of the blog! Tried to get in touch through email, but thought this might be a little faster. We were hoping to partner as an affiliate – let me know if you’re interested.
