OK, you’ve bought a short term rental to access the incredible tax deductions and cash flow that STRs can offer. If it’s a new build or just a house that’s coming unfurnished, you’ve got your work cut out for you. And if interior design isn’t a natural talent, you might find this task really intimidating.

In this post below, Ian Cook at Carpe Diem MD offers a few different options to help you in this task. He goes over some local options to source furniture, as well as another option for which I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback: Wayfair Professional.

I’d like to mention another option not included in this post: hiring an interior designer. For our short term rental in Palm Springs, which recently hit the rental market, we used a virtual interior designer named Trisha from Extra Nest. The home turned out spectacularly, (it’s featured on her website) and she made the whole process incredibly easy.

Another note is that these tips can be equally applicable to furnishing your primary home!
