A financial origin stories tell us about the particular elements from your childhood that determined how you view money. For me, I’d say that my financial origin story revolves around the sudden turn for the worse that my family went through in the early 90s. This taught me that money is scary and that financial security is incredibly important. This influenced my decision to go into medicine. Now that my family is financially secure, I still have to fight against my tendencies towards scarcity. While protective, these tendencies sometimes stifle growth.
